NYFW 2012 Review: DKNY

Feb 14, 12 NYFW 2012 Review: DKNY

Setting the scene using the streets of NYC as the backdrop, DKNY revealed it’s stunning 2012 fall collection for the modern, everyday woman.

The collection’s prominence of black drives the attention towards a variety of textures and designs.  This is showcased through the line’s fur coats with complimenting shiny and matte details and the sleek lines on skirts and dresses.

Common themes are seen with other collections for the fall, including puffy outerwear, large fur pieces, sheer fabrics and wine as a color choice.s.  The collection accentuates a woman’s curves from head to toe, starting at the nape of the neck with high fur collars, emphasis on the waist line with over-sized belts, and opaque tights with platform heels and ankle boots in deep red and black to complete the look.  Subtle flounces of ruffle and the occasional floral pattern make an appearance for a glimpse of tradition femininity throughout the show.  We’re a Big Deal loves the variety of textures and designs used to create a chic, classic, feminine look.  It’s a line that we recommend every woman add to her wardrobe.
