“How do you define a woman?”  The Donna Karan Fall 2012 collection is an inspiring line that plays beautifully on the female form.  The boundless collection was divided into a multi-part show, each evoking a different feeling.

First, a casual beginning with bursts of draped scarlet and blue plaid and ruffles accentuating baggy, dark hobo pieces. The show progressed to a feminine play on the classic pinstripe suit, with angular cuts and over sized cuffs, topped with bold shoulders.  In work wear, themes from the spring collection were carried forward with asymmetrical necklines leading into wrapped dresses and skirts, giving pieces movement and flow.  Next, elegant floor-length evening wear provided shimmer and shine, garnished with fedora hair pieces.  The show concluded with graceful eye-catching gowns with low backs and high slits.

We’re a big deal loves the empowering symbol of an independent woman this line represents.
